Festival of Trees

This year we thought it would be fun to go out to Festival of Trees. We have never been before, but have always wanted to. We thought the girls would like it and they sure did.
Our first stop was to see Santa. He was a great Santa and the girls could spend as much time as they wanted to with him which was nice. Although it was to see him, the hour we spent in line was not so much fun! I think next time we will skip seeing him so we can see more trees!
Lucy (2), Nicole (2 Months), and Makayla (4)

We saw lots of fun trees, here are a few of our favorites
This is the "I Love Lucy" tree
Of course we had to take a picture of our Lucy in front of it! We sure do love our Lucy!
Another one we liked was this one covered in Panda Bears! Pandas are my favorite animal and when we saw this one everyone knew I would love it and I did!
Makayla wanted a picture in front of it because she says she loves them too!
This is by far my favorite picture! There was a this tree that said "Drama Queen" at the top we thought it was perfect for Makayla since that is always what we tell her she is! When we said we wanted a picture of her by it this is the face we got.....PRICELESS!
We had a lot of fun looking at the trees, one day it would be fun to be able to buy one, but that won't be happening anytime soon, so I guess we will just have to settle for going and seeing them.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2012

After spending three years away from home during Thanksgiving it was sure nice to be back in Utah this year. Don't get me wrong we have some great memories spending our last few in Missouri and Michigan, but there is no place like home!
I really wanted to make homemade rolls so with my help from my mom and these two fabulous helpers we made homemade rolls and boy were they good!
(I forgot to take a picture of the finished product!)
They were so excited to help out and they were so cute doing it!

Makayla really wanted to make placemats for the table so we made some turkeys! I think they turned out so cute! Notice the eyelashes and glasses!
Out beautiful table set for a fancy feast and boy did we have one! Such good food and good company! I sure do love this holiday!
Later that night Caleb, my dad, my brothers, my sister-in-law, and my cousin all went out and did a little "early" black Friday shopping. Thanks to a little baby I stayed home. Maybe next year I will get back out there and do the shopping!

Not only did we get to celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend but we also got to celebrate Caleb's 31st birthday! I can't believe he is that old! Hahahaha! I am one lucky woman to be married to this great man! Happy Birthday Caleb!

Instead of a regular cake I made Caleb a homemade ice cream cake! It was really good and really easy to make!
He is such a fun Dad!

The last part of our weekend was spent getting the house ready for Christmas! Here is Lucy helping daddy put some decorations up!

Makayla had to have a picture of her helping too! I love these two and I love this time of the year! Can't wait to spend the month of December with my family!

Thanksgiving Day Program

Makayla has been LOVING preschool this year! With Thanksgiving just around the corner she had her first program and boy did she do a great job!
Here she is getting ready for the program to start.
Here she is with her Pilgrim outfit on.
Next up was the turkey hat. They sang a cute little song called  Carve the Turkey. Makayla taught it to Lucy and both girls love to sing it and I love hearing them sing it!
Her final outfit was her Indian one. Her Indian name was "helper to sister".
A little girl with a LOT of attitude!
\
Lucy loved watching them preform. If she could have been she would have been up there preforming with Makayla. She loves doing what her big sister does.
Taylee and Makayla!
These two are the best of friends!
Taylee and Makayla with Mrs. Shauna one of there fabulous teachers!
Makayla absolutely loves her teachers. They do such a great job and I am so happy we found this preschool!
Makayla and Mrs. Jennifer her other teacher
Sisters!
Our little family, minus Nicole who was sleeping in her car seat!
Grandpa and Grandma also came to show their support. Makayla was so excited!

Nicole's Blessing Day

Nicole was blessed yesterday November 11, 2012 by her Dad. He did such a great job and gave her such a sweet blessing. I am grateful that I am married to a worthy Priesthood holder and that he was able to preform this special blessing. Nicole is such a sweet little girl and we are so happy and blessed to have her in our family. I always said I only wanted one girl, but I wouldn't trade having my three little angels for anything!
All three of my girls have worn this exact same blessing dress!
Isn't she such a gem!
A cute little family of FIVE! Crazy that their are five of us now!
Nicole and Daddy
Mommy and baby Nicole
My three sweet girls!
I love Nicole's smile in this one.
Isn't this just so precious! They truly love their little sister!
Nicole was blessed at 2 months old.
Uncle Eric had to go to work so we took a picture of  him and Aunt BreAnn with Nicole before he left.
My side of the family minus Eric who was working.
Since Caleb's family is so spread out it is a treat when any of them can make it to special family events. We got lucky for Nicole's blessing and got to have Caleb's sister Cami join us.
Mommy and Daddy with the special little lady!
We love you Nicole!

First Snow Storm In NOVEMBER

What crazy weather we have had!
It was only a week ago that we were outside playing in the leaves with barley a jacket on. Now here we sit with our first snow storm of the season and it was a good one. It made for a weekend of fun! The girls of course were so excited and didn't want to wait to go outside and play in it. The sad thing was we didn't have their snow stuff when it first snowed so they had to settle for just going out and walking in it and not rolling around in it.
I think she loves the snow a little too much. It is funny how she can get so cold sometimes, but if there is snow involved she doesn't even seem to mind the cold.
Even though Lucy got to go out in the snow last year I would have to say this is the first time she actually enjoyed it!
Making snowballs!
Daddy even got in on the fun. After living in Iowa for three years Caleb said to me I think I now understand why they say Utah has the best snow on earth! In Iowa I swear we never had anything but ice. Even if it looked like snow it felt like ice! So what did Caleb do with this great snow.....he made a snowman just like the girls asked. He is a suck a sucker for doing what the girls ask! (He is seriously the best dad!)
Yay for snow!
(But only until Christmas then it can go away!)
Not sure what she was doing but she was so cute!
The snowman got a little bigger than I think he realized! He couldn't lift the body onto the base, but that didn't stop him. He always figures out a way to get things done!
The finished product! The girls loved that it was as big as their daddy!
It only stayed this pretty for the day and then the candy started to bleed its color and it was a mess! Messy and funny looking I might add!
We found their snow stuff and the next day they were out in the snow this time rolling around and completely enjoying themselves!
Playing while it snowed!
Lucy wasn't a huge fan of laying down and having snow fall in her face!
Makayla on the other hand loved it!
Loved having our first little snow storm!
Lets just hope we get some for Christmas too!
