5 Years!!!

June 26, 2004 Caleb and I were sealed for time and all eternity! What a great day that was. I can't believe it has been 5 years! Oh how our life has changed, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Happy anniversary Caleb!

I LOVE YOU!

(Don't we look so young?)

Just "Chillin"

This is Makayla's new favorite thing to do. Whenever the fridge opens she bolts for her "spot". She loves that spot and would stay there all day if I let her. Getting her to move so we can close the door is a a real trick!
I just wanted to add this other adorable picture of Makayla. She loves to put things in her bucket and carry it around. The other day I caught her doing this and it made me laugh so hard. She is such a fun girl.

Joe's Valley 2009

For our first week of summer we went camping with my parents, aunt & uncle, & cousins. It was Caleb's last request. He loves to camp and fish and since my family does too and goes a few times a year they planned one that we would be able to go on. We had a lot of fun! It was defiantly cold and rainy but fun. It rained every day on us, but we were still able to find time to go fishing and sit by the fire.

Speaking of the rain, we had a near death experience coming home from fishing because of it. We had gone up to a lake way up on the top of the mountain and were coming home when we hit a down poor. It made the road that was just dirt really muddy. We were sliding all over in the truck. We had to stop for a little bit so that the road could dry out. You are probably thinking not that big of a deal, but the the road was on the mountain and had a VERY steep cliff on the one side. I was scared to death!
Here are pictures from the trip enjoy!
It took Makayla the whole trip to get comfortable with my uncle's dog. She loves dogs, but she was scared to death of him coming too close to her.

My cousin Brooke was there and so Makayla had a friend to play with, her boy Kaden. This was one of the only pictures we could get of the two of them together. The rest of the time the picture on bottom was all we could get. Makayla chasing after Kaden and him wanting nothing to do with her!

Caleb and Makayla getting ready for one of their many hikes they went on. If we wanted Makayla to fall asleep all we had to do was put her in this and walk around for a few minutes.

Just like daddy Makayla liked fishing. She would say "fishy" over and over! She even caught her first fish. Grandpa let her reel his in.
We couldn't let her get dirty up there, so yes she had a bath. Isn't she so cute!
Here is her sleeping attire. This year we slept in a tent. I was so scared she would be cold so we bought a heater. It worked great, but I still bundled her up. Don't you just love the hat and mittens. We were looking everywhere for something that would work, but it is the wrong season so when we saw these at wal-mart we just had to buy them. I just have one questions who or what is "Brobee"??? As you can tell she wasn't to thrilled to wear it all. She didn't mind the mittens, but she hated the hat!

Here is a group picture minus Matt and Doug they were taking the pictures.
What great fun we always have!

Bittersweet!

As most of you know school is officially over and usually with that comes great happiness! Well this year I would say it is bittersweet. Don't get me wrong I am so ready for the summer and the chance to be a stay at home mommy, who wouldn't with this cute thing,

but I think I truly am going to miss teaching! As I packed up my room Friday I found myself thinking about these past 3 years and how much I have truly enjoyed them. From the highs, seeing a student succeed for the first time in math. To the lows, feeling overwhelmed by the fact that I wasn't just a teacher, but a role model and someone who cared for some of these kids who didn't know what that was like. I must admit I had no idea what I was getting myself into becoming a teacher after all it isn't a 9-5 job and the pay isn't great, but with all of that said I just don't think that I could have picked a better profession. I will miss not only the students, but my fellow colleges and friends that I have made. This transition will be a hard one, but one that ready or not I am going to make. Here is to the end of one chapter of my life and the beginning of a new one.
