Makayla is 5!

It was 5 years ago to day that I became a mom for the first time. Boy was I scared to bring a child into this world and to be responsible for them. I am still scared to death to raise this special child, but I love her more today than I could possible imagine, and hope that my love will only help with the ups and downs I know we will face in the future! Makayla is one smart girl, sometimes too smart for her own good, but I know she is set to do great things and I can't wait to see what those things are!

No More Training Wheels!

Riding her bike without training wheels is just another reminder that she is growing up way to fast!
Makayla has been begging us to take her training wheels off for a little while now, so with daddy being home this weekend and it being pretty warm outside we decided to give it a try. I was inside getting a lesson ready for Sunday and after only little while I was being told I needed to come out and watch her ride her bike by herself with no training wheels! Needless to say this little girl is one determined little girl! I love her and her dedication to things! I hope she always has this trait!
We didn't have any knee pads or anything, we got some shortly after this mind you, but in the mean time we improvised! Doesn't she look good!
Getting ready to take off.
Look at her go! I am so proud of her and love her so much!

Lucy Goose!

What can I say other than I love this little girl so much! So many people say she is just like me, and while I know that they are saying that because she has lungs and screams about everything, I am glad that I have her in my life she can always make me laugh.
It was starting to warm up a little bit so Lucy decided to help Grandpa out in the garden.
Look at her working so hard.
I guess sitting and doing the work is a little bit easier!
Even though she is a huge daddy's girl right now she can still melt my heart when she wants to.
Boy do I love my Lucy Goose!

First Taste Of Real Food

My baby is growing up so fast! I can't believe she is ready for baby food already!
6 Months old and trying rice cereal for the first time.
At first she was a little hesitant and didn't know what to think, but
it didn't take her too long to enjoy it and want more! Both her sisters wanted to feed her so bad. I think they will be big helpers with this transition. She has probably been my easiest to get to eat baby food the first time! Way to go my big girl Nicole!

Disney On Ice

We have been wanting to take the girls to Disney On Ice again for a while now. We went once while living in Iowa and the girls, Makayla mostly, loved it. Well we finally got our chance and we took it. It was so much fun to watch the girls and see how happy they were. Of course Grandpa and Grandma spoiled them rotten while there, but hey that is what they are suppose to do right?
Lucy and Nicole so happy to be there!
So excited she could hardly handle it!
Lucy with her surprise from Grandpa and Grandma. $12 bucks for that thing! Craziness if you ask me! They are lucky they are so loved!
All smiles the whole time!
(I also love the food stuck in Lucy's teeth, priceless!)

Watching intently!

Seriously I don't think she stopped smiling the whole time!
I love seeing these girls so happy they are the best part of our life!

Crazy Hair/Hat Day

Makayla has such a fun preschool where they do such fun things. In conjunction with Dr. Seuss's birthday they had a crazy hair/hat day at school! Makayla wanted a ton of ponytails all over her head. She was so excited to do something crazy. I was worried she was going to be self conscious of her self, because she is always making sure she matches with her clothes and such but surprisingly she wasn't! I am glad she can have fun at this age!

One of Lucy just because she wanted one! She hates to be left out!
Like I said it was crazy hair/hat day so grandma let Makayla borrow her Dr. Seuss hat to wear and made sure Lucy had one too!

She loved this hat and was sure sad when Grandma had to take it back to school!
What a fun day at preschool!
