Just For Fun

So I just have some random pictures of Makayla I wanted to post. So there is no rhyme or reason to this post other than I just wanted to.
Isn't she so cool with her upside down glass, she thought she was!
She loves babies! Our friend had her baby about 2 months ago and anytime we see them Makayla asks to hold her and get so mad if we have to take her away. Aren't they so cute!
Trying to pull an angry face! She isn't very good at it. I think she gets that from her daddy!
First time rollerskating! We definitely need some pads for her to wear before she gets to go out on her own! Thanks Brooke, Andy, and Kaden for the awesome birthday gift!
Now for the picture that I have been waiting to post! I know that one day she will kill me for taking this and more importantly for posting for everyone to see, but is was so funny I just had to and besides I am the parent now and I get to do embarrassing things to my child right!
We are potty training Makayla if you can't tell. We are on day 3 and she is doing really well. we haven't had a wet accident in two days. When it comes to the other kind we haven't been as lucky, but I hear pooping is harder to get anyway so I am ok with it. Well the other night she really needed to go so she got on the potty and this is what happened seriously 2 min. after she sat down. She was so worn out! We kept trying to wake her up and she would go right back to sleep. When we would try to take her off she would get mad and tell us she needed to go. Honestly we couldn't stop laughing! She is definitely my daughter!
Hope you enjoyed the randomness of this post!

Family Museum

Sorry there have been so many pictures recently, but I have actually had my camera with me when we have gone and done fun things, so I have to post them!
On the last day that Grandma Hunter was here it was raining like crazy. To pass the time we took Makayla to the Family Museum. She had a blast. There was lots for her to do, and now I know where I will be spending the cold months in the future!
Here are some pictures from our adventures there....
The first thing we found was a big playhouse with all sorts of fun things to play with. One thing they had was a slide, and if you know Makayla she loves to slide!
There was also a little store where they could load up baskets with stuff and then pretend to buy it. She had fun with that.
There was also a place where they could dress up and walk down a runway. I thought Makayla would love to wear the dresses, but really she loved wearing this fur jacket. She kept wanting to put it on. Isn't she cute!
There was also a music room. I thought that was a lot of fun. Makayla also like it because she could make a lot of noise in there. Here she is with Grandma making some music!

Another thing they had was a rock wall. Makayla was unsure about it at first and looked like she was going to cry the first time I put here on it, but by the time it was time to go she wanted to be put up on it. Here we are having some fun!
We had a great day at the Museum. Thanks Grandma for going with us.
The next day we had to say goodbye to Grandma. Boy do we miss her, and we can't wait to see her and Grandpa and the rest of the family this summer!!!!
One last picture before we took Grandma to the airport!
WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA!!!

Easter (a little late)

Hey I am only a week late on this one, right?
We had a wonderful Easter weekend! It was great to have General Conference the same weekend and like many others I really enjoyed listening to the Apostles and Prophet speak! We were also very happy and blessed to get to have Grandma Hunter here to spend the weekend with us!
Easter Dress! Such a cheese ball!
We were lucky and got to go to a couple of Easter Egg hunts. The first one was at the Lutheran church up the street.
Collecting the goodies!
Some fellow friends that joined in the fun!
The second one we went to was at a friend in the wards house. This was awesome because we got breakfast too!!
Look at that full basket! She kept dropping them out and then picking them up again thinking she was finding more! It was so funny!
She likes to show off what she finds!
How cute are they!
Thanks so much, we had a blast!

And of course what Easter is complete without coloring eggs! It was different this year not having to force my family to do it with us. Instead we had WILLING participants! We had our neighbors come over and color them with us! Love you family!
She loved doing this, for about 5 min. then she was off to something else, but she would always come back to drop another one in!
Makayla and her friend Cadence. She always wants to play with her these days! They had a lot of fun coloring eggs, once we got the chair situation figured out! Makayla has this thing about sitting in the chair with Tinkerbell on it. She is so drama!
Well I am a little mad at myself for not getting pictures of Makayla looking for her basket on Easter morning or of her with it when she did find it. She loved looking for the eggs I guess I got distracted! We did get a picture of her flying her kite that she got in her basket. It was so fun to go out and fly a kite. Iowa has the best weather for kite flying because it is always breezy! Thanks Grandma for the kite and movie!
Again we had a great weekend and loved spending time together! We are so grateful for our Savior and all that he had done for us!

Makayla's Birthday Celebrations

What a fun time we have had in our house over the last week and it all started off with Makayla having a birthday and turning TWO!!!
(Warning there are a lot of pictures to follow.)

Birthday girl on her birthday March 31st!

Grandma Hunter was coming into town for Easter and we had decided to have a birthday party for Makayla when she was here. So on her actual birthday we just went and spent time together as a little family. Makayla and I spent the morning outside playing, he favorite thing to do, then we went and had lunch with Daddy at his school, and then when Daddy was done with school for the day we all went to Chucky E. Cheese! Makayla had a blast! It was all she could talk about for days!
Playing the games with Daddy!

Makayla loved to talk on this phone.
I swear she would have stayed on it all day long!

Riding some of the rides!

Going down the slide on her tummy!
Such a cute girl!

The highlight of the whole trip for Makayla was when she got to see and hug Chucky! We thought she was going to be afraid of him and she was a little bit at first, but then she loved him!

We had such a great time at Chucky E. Cheese. After we went home and opened presents and had birthday cake.
(Just a small cake. Her Elmo cake was for when Grandma was here.)

Just a couple of the fun things she got.

One of her presents was a big girl bed and she kind of loves it. She loves it during the day, but hates it at night. She really hates bedtime. All of sudden we are dealing with "Monsters"!

Enjoying some birthday cake. We decided to give her, her own cake again this year since she was afraid to dig into it last year and let me tell you she is the same girl. Instead of just going at it she asked for a fork and would not start eating it until she had one!

Makayla was a lucky girl this year and got to celebrate her birthday twice. Like I said before we spent her birthday just as a family doing stuff together, and then the following Monday we celebrated again. Grandma Hunter first took us to Chucky E. Cheese again (her treat!). Makayla was in heaven, and then later that night we had a few friends over to have some cake and ice cream. Makayla was so excited for it. All she could talk about was having an Elmo cake and wearing her birthday hat.

Here she is with the "birthday" hat. She loved it and wore it all night long. It was so cute.

Some of the fun friends that came over to celebrate. Cooper, Carson, Cadence, Logan, and Joy (she is missing in this picture)

When it came time to blow out the candles on her Elmo cake Cadence beat her to it. Makayla was so disappointed. I was laughing so hard. Good thing that relighting them and letting her try again was all it took to make her happy. Yup yours truly made her cake again this year. she loves Elmo.

Enjoying some of her yummy cake!

After cake and ice cream we opened some wonderful gifts. Thanks everyone for coming and bringing her a present it was so nice of you all! This is where Grandma Hunter gave Makayla her most favorite present. It was from Grandpa Hunter as well, but he doesn't get the credit because he wasn't here!!!! (j\k) Love you Dad! What did she get...................

A PINK/PURPLE BIKE!!!!

The face she had when she saw the bike was priceless, but unfortunately we didn't capture it. You will just have to take my word for it. Anyway Makayla had a great birthday. We are so lucky to have her as part of our family!
