Lorenc Baby #2

Well she is finally here!
LUCY CHRISTELLE
Born: November 2, 2010
Time: 3:35 AM
Weight: 7 lbs 1 oz
Length: 20 1/2 inches

Isn't she a doll! I think so.

After 8 hours of labor and really only 1 and 1/2 pushes she came. So here is the a quick version of the story. I had been having contractions all weekend long, but the contractions would stop when I would go to bed so I didn't want to go into the hospital. Well finally on Monday, my due date, I was done being pregnant and my parents were here and I didn't want them to miss the birth so I called to set up an induction. Well they said they couldn't schedule me for an induction until Wednesday, I was a little frustrated. As the lady was telling me this she kept telling me that if I had contractions that I could come in earlier. It was kind of weird and I didn't really know why she was saying it until one of the doctors got on and came right out and said, "I can't schedule you for an induction because we are full tomorrow, but if you come in with contractions I won't send you home!" I was like ok I will see you later on then. We finished our family outing we were on and then Caleb and I went up to the hospital. They checked me out and said I was dilated to a 3.5 and they didn't know if I would stay or not, again I was like seriously? Luckily my doctor came in checked me, said you are a 4 I am keeping you! I was so happy!
So I got checked in and they gave me some stuff to get the contractions real regular. I sat through the pain for about 2 hours and then I was like, why am I doing this? I really want to enjoy this experience I am sure am not doing it now, so yes I got an epidural. This epidural was not like the last one, it didn't work all the way. I was completely numb on the left side, but I could feel the right side unless I was laying on my right side letting the medicine run to that side. I got stuck at a 5-6 for a few hours, but then the next time she checked me I was at a 9.5. She called the doctor we waited like 20 min. for her to get there, and when she went to check me she was like well this baby is here! She didn't even need to check me she could literally see her head. Like I said I pushed 1 and 1/2 times and she was here. It was crazy and surreal! Poor Caleb started school the day she was born and hasn't really been able to go to classes, because I have wanted him with me. I am one lucky woman to have a husband like him!
I LOVE LUCY!
We decided on the name Lucy because I had read it on a birth announcement a while ago and fell in love with it. At first Caleb would say it just the way Ricky does in the show I Love Lucy so I didn't know if he really liked it, but in the end he said he really did so we went for it. We chose Christelle because it is my mom's name and I am her only daughter and I thought it would be cool to give her a middle name that would mean a lot to me.
So there it is the story of how she got here. Now for what all of you came here to see, pictures....
Momma and her two beautiful girls! I am one lucky momma!
Big sister and little sister! Makayla loves her so much! She is always asking to hold her, which I love but at the same time it is hard because I have to be watching her at all times! Makayla will make a great big sister!

Grandpa with his favorite granddaughters!
(I can say that because they are all he has right now, so I won't offend anyone!)
Proud Grandparents!
A huge thanks to my parents for taking time off of work to come out and be here for the birth. It was sure nice to have them and know Makayla was in good hands while we were at the hospital.
Daddy with his two little girls! I don't think anyone could be so proud!
The shades look cool, but having to wear them was definitely not cool. The day we were suppose to come home they told us that Lucy had jaundice and she would not be released. I was really upset. I know that lots of babies get it and get over it, but the fact that couldn't take her home really upset me. They told me I was going to be released and that made me more anxious because I didn't want to leave my baby. Luckily the hospital let me "board" there that night so that I could be with her.

Here she is under the lights. They put this headband thing around the eye patch thing and it made her nose get plugged it was so said. She was not a happy camper under the lights and it made me so crazy to not be able to hold her.
(You can laugh though the picture is pretty funny!)

And finally here she is on her first day at home! We are so glad you are here Lucy and look forward to getting to know your little personality!
