Thanksgiving 2011

I know I am a little late, but I am finally posting about Thanksgiving. I know that not many people read this, but that is ok it is more for me anyway. This year will be our last one out here in the Midwest, and we debated about staying here and hanging out with our Palmer friends, but then we remembered that it would probably be the last one that we would spend with Caleb’s family that live out here so we decided that to Missouri we would go and we were very happy that we did! We had a lot of fun spending time with family and just getting away!

We didn’t actually have Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving because one of Caleb’s brothers had other plans, so instead we had it the day after. We spent Thanksgiving, and Caleb’s birthday just hanging out and going bowling. The next day we spent all morning in the kitchen getting things ready for our feast. It was a lot of fun making food with my sister-in-law Yvonne! For Thanksgiving I was in charge of mashed potatoes, a Thanksgiving salad (thanks Michelle for introducing me to this yummy salad last year), pretzel jello salad, and a banana cream pie!
A picture of our feast! It was SOOOOO good!
Eating our dinner outside! We don't get to do this very often so it was kind of fun having Thanksgiving dinner outside because it was warm enough!
After dinner we took turns taking rides on Uncle Quinn's four wheeler. Here is Makayla with Uncle Quinn!
Caleb, Marci, and Lucy taking our turn. Lucy LOVED riding on the four wheeler!
After Thanksgiving dinner we gathered around the fire pit in the back yard and roasted some marsh mellows! Makayla thought Uncle Quinn's and Aunt Jamie's house was the best!
Lucy found a ball that she could fit inside she had so much fun with this toy!
I had to get a picture of the boys doing the dishes! I have a similar one from two years ago.
When it got too cold and dark outside to play the kids came in and watched a movie. Let me just say Makayla was in heaven having so many cousins to play with.
While the kids watched a movie the adults played some cards. This is one of my favorite things to do. It was fun, oh and I can't forget to mention that Yvonne and I dominated!
Wes (our newest brother-in-law) spent some quality time with Lucy. He isn't really into card games so he played with her instead. It was good practice because he and his wife Cami are expecting their first in February! We are so excited for them.
I just love her!
Oh and her too! Makayla took particular interest in playing with her cousin Michael. They were so cute together and we could hardly separate them. She still asks if she can play with him. I think she misses him a little bit!
On Saturday we went to Bass Pro Shop to walk around and see the Christmas decorations. We did this two years ago when we were there and we had so much fun we decided to do it again.

Looking at some of the fish under the bridge.
Seriously isn't she so cute!
They had a carousel in the middle of the store for the kids to ride on. Makayla and Lucy loved it! I don't think either of them stopped smiling the whole time!
Makayla waving to the camera!

"Sledding"
Hanging out on a boat! She kept playing peek-a-boo it was so cute!
Caleb wasn't feeling so hot this day, but managed to come and have a good time with us! The girls love their dad and were so glad he was there!
A shot of all the grand kids, that were there in Missouri 11 in all, on a boat at Bass Pro.
Anytime we get more than a couple of Caleb's siblings together we have to take a picture. Here he is with two brothers, a sister and his mom.
Brady, Dory, Caleb, Cami, and Quinn
And of course we have to get one of Grandma Dory with the grand kids.
Jaden, Thomas, Michael, Grandma Dory, Lucy, Alena, Makayla, Amber, Ben, Tanner, Savana, and Matthew. Oh and yes that belly is suppose to be in there. That is "baby" Ogden the soon to be newest grand baby.
Well that wraps up our Thanksgiving festivities.
We had such a great time and are so thankful that we got to spend this fun holiday with family. Thanks to Brady, Yvonne, and family for putting us up at there house we had a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone else Quinn, Jamie, Dory and family for making it such a fun weekend!
