Preschool Fun

A couple of my friends were going to did a little home school for their kids this year and invited Makayla to be involved in it. To say she was excited would be an understatement. She is only 3 and with us being in school and not having a lot of money, putting her in a preschool was not really an option to us. This has been perfect! We meet once a week for a lesson and then once a week for field trip to explore more about what they learned about earlier that week. Here are some pictures from the field trips we have been able to go on!
First day of school!
September 6, 2011
(Jaylene, Cooper, Carson, Canyon, Makayla, & Max)
Art field trip.
They got to make their own piece of art. Makayla had so much fun.
Pouring the paint onto the spinning paper.
Music field trip.
Each of them got to hold and play the guitars and many other things. This was such a fun field trip.
Rocking out on the drums
Playing the keyboard.
Lucy wanted to get in on the action as well. Maybe she will be a pianist!
Hike field trip
We went on a hike and had lots of fun.
Jaylene, Makayla, Maddi, and Kinidee.
These four girls are great friends and we are so sad to see Maddi and Kinidee move away!
Jaylene and Makayla!
Such cute girls who just love to play together.
Radio station field trip.
The kids got to go on a tour of a local radio station. The kids were given the opportunity to talk in the microphones, but some were a little to shy. Not my Makayla! She was all about it and even sang one of her favorite songs.
Again Lucy wanted to get in on the action.
The kids with our tour guide. Mr. Tony Tone.
In front of the radio station signs. These kids are so much fun!
Recycling center field trip.
Our most recent field trip was to the recycling center where the kids, and might I also add the adults, learned a lot and had so much fun watching them sort all of the stuff being recycled.
I am loving doing this school thing with my great friends. It so so fun for Makayla and love getting to hang out with two of my great friends out here. Stay tuned for more field trips!
