This Is The Place & Swimming!

When we got to Utah we had lots of things to do. We sat down and planned out what we were going to do each day. Our first adventure was to go to This is the Place Monument. Boy did we get lucky, it costs $9 a person to go, but apparently on Wednesdays it is only $2 a person. Talk about luck and a great deal that we didn't even know about it.
Uncle Eric joined us on many of our adventures and here he is with Makayla getting ready to walk around.
Don't worry they both had their shades on!
They had a pony ride and Makayla was so excited for it, until the pony in front of her pooped. She started to freak out and didn't want to ride. It took us a while to figure out that the poop was the issue. We thought it was so funny!
They also had this great petting zoo that Makayla could have spent the entire day in. Here she is with her daddy and a 2 week old lamb. She was so sweet and soft to it. Let us hope she is that way with her soon to be little sister.
Makayla and the goats. She loved these and would follow them around.
Standing in the middle of all these animals and it didn't even make her a bit nervous.
We also "panned" for gold. There were lots of kids running in and out of the water getting soaking wet and muddy might I add. Then there was my sweet Makayla and all she would put in was her feet and even that she wasn't so sure about.

Look at that piece of gold she found!

They also had a little train ride around a little pond that we rode on. Makayla was getting tired at this point, but she was sure glad she rode it when we went through the tunnel and it was ok to scream as loud as she could. Now any tunnel we go in she raises her hands and screams!
Makayla and her Grandma! Thanks mom for making all of the trips including this one possible. We had a lot of fun with Grandma and Uncle Eric!
Along with the many adventures we went on there was a lot of swimming that took place. Makayla LOVES to swim and Grandma bought this kid pool for her to swim in. Other than the water being freezing at first Makayla loved it!
Getting ready to swim while dad is still trying to get it all set up.
The elephant sprayed and Makayla didn't like that too much, so we never had it on after the first time it got her
What a great daddy Makayla has. He was in there keeping her company most of the time. Again let me remind you how cold the water was!

We also had Makayla's best buds come over and join in the swimming fun!
Kyson, Taylee, and Makayla enjoying a cold treat after swimming. Oh how we miss you guys! Makayla insists that her baby sisters name is Tay-Tay.
One last picture of my cute girl!
I can't get enough of her!
Much more to come!
