Celebrating the New Year 2012!

I can't believe it is 2012!
There are some pretty big changes coming this year. I have been waiting for this year for a long time. Two of them are we get to move home in June and Caleb graduates in October! I know our lives will never be like they are now and sometimes I am super sad about that because I have come to love the people I have met here in Iowa. One of the good things is I know that most, not all, but most of them will be moving just like me so it makes it easier to leave.
To ring in the New Year we decided to start the day off with a few games of bowling. We met up with the Jorgensens and had a lot of fun.
Makayla and JayLene bowling.
They literally went up together each time one of them was bowling. It was so cute. They are such great friends.
Lucy just hanging out watching everyone bowl.
Marci in action. Just a side note I am not very good at bowling, but hey I like to go!
Caleb in action. He is much better than me!
Of course we had a casualty while we were there and you would have thought it was the end of the world. Makayla got her finger smashed between two balls and she sure let everyone know about it. Doesn't she look so sad.
The girls together again.
The pink ball was for the girls.
Lucy started to get fussy, but was happy again once she got some crackers, even though the signs said "no outside food or drink, NO exceptions!"
I took this after Makayla got all the pins down. She was so excited that she actually go them all down.
Later that night we had our friend the Ramos' come over and hang out and ring in the new year with us. We decided to play a joke and plan out our night in a very detailed manner. Little did we know Makayla would take it so literally. She kept saying, "mom what is next on the list". She didn't get it was a joke!
Here is a close up of what we had planned for the night! :)
Makayla and Caleb waiting for the New Year!
Our friends Paul, Natalie, and baby Zoey came over and rang in the new year with us
Banging pots and pans! Makayla was so excited to go outside and make a lot of noise. And yes she really did stay up until midnight!
Lucy on the other hand went to be at her normal time, so I had to include a picture of her the next morning! I also think this is the funniest picture of Caleb that I have ever seen! He is such a good sport to let me put this on here!
Happy New Year!!!!
