This year when I asked Makayla what kind of party she wanted to have she said, "I want a girls birthday party". I said ok who would you like to invite. She started to name off people and all of a sudden she was naming off boys that she plays with. I had to stop her and say wait I thought we were having a girls party. Once we cleared that up I thought we were good to go, but after her party was over she says to me, "Ok mom, now I am ready for the boys party!" Silly girl loves to have parties, hence why she got so many this year!
For her "girls" party we had a butterfly and flower theme. It was a lot of fun.
Getting ready for the party.
She was so excited!
One thing we were going to do was paint flower pots and then plant a flower in them. I thought it was a great idea, but didn't factor in that I would have a bunch of 3 year olds painting with paints that could stain. I have to say though they did a great job and I don't think there were too many tragidies when it came to the clothes!
I wanted to have butterflies flying over our heads so this what I came up with. Balloons with homemade butterflies that Makayla and I made hanging from them.
She had to have a picture with all of the decorations!
Hard at work painting!
Playing a butterfly game.
(For your information, yes the birthday girl cried when she didn't win the first time!)
Presents! Thanks so much everyone for the great presents she loves them all.
Her butterfly cake. Don't laugh too hard at it! I had issues with the icing at midnight the night before!
I can't believe she is 3!
The crew eating treats!
Playing outside with butterfly nets!
We had her birthday party the day before her birthday, so on her birthday we spent the day just relaxing, going and eating lunch with daddy at his school, and then we went to her favorite place Chuck E. Cheese.
On her birthday
I just thought this was cute of her.
Being silly.
Her long hair! We have not cut it, EVER! Not even a trim. She freaks out when we even mention the idea!
Makayla with her best friend and, little sister, Lucy.
At Chuck E Cheese dancing for free tickets!
Riding in a princess carriage.
We came home and sang to her again with the remnants of the cake from her party. Daddy wanted to sing to her but I didn't want to make another cake.
Makayla with some of her presents.
Pillow pet from Grandma and Grandpa Hunter!
Sunglasses!
(love her expressions)
Makayla loves the movie Tangled so I made her a Rapunzel Pillow!
And of course TANGLED!!!
Yup there is still more. Since we didn't get to celebrate Makayla's birthday with some of her favorite people out here, since she had a friend party. We had them over on Sunday for some cake and ice cream.
Yet another cake. Yum, Yum!
This time Makayla helped me decorate it since I didn't do it at midnight!
What fun celebrations we had!
Happy Birthday to my sweet Makayla!
